education
Our educational programme sets out to raise achievements and aspirations of young people to show them the sustainable career prospects offered in construction.
- We seek to explore ways in which we can influence the education agenda. Our Chairman and CEO, Paul Drechsler, chairs the Business in the Community Education Leadership Team. We also have board positions at the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, Construction Skills and London Skills and Employment Board.
- We have developed an online resource which supports the Construction & Built Environment Diploma (www.cbelearning.co.uk).
- We deliver a 5 or 10 day structured Work Inspiration programme to offer students an insight into construction. We target - but do not limit - the programme to students aged 14 - 16 years of age and studying for the CBE diploma.
- We support sustainable business partnerships with schools using the Business Class framework.
