Winnersh Triangle, Reading

Flying start: Business park redevelopment sets high standard

Winnersh Triangle is a large business park with a mix of office buildings and warehousing, which the client plans to redevelop in its entirety. We have just completed the first phase, including demolition, design and construction of two CAT A office blocks, a combined retail unit and office complex, a feature bridge linking the new campus to the main rail network, and a 4-star Holiday Inn.

In parallel, a large-scale statutory service upgrade was carried out together with extensive highway works. Working closely with the client’s management team, we ensured that the other areas of the business park remained accessible for businesses to operate normally.

  • By involving our project team at a very early stage, we helped to develop a practical, sustainable and cost-efficient design that was key to meeting client aspirations, achieving BREEAM status and addressing local planning issues.
  • Our commercial team also worked closely with the design and cost consultants to ensure a best value contract sum through extensive market testing and the incorporation of alternative material specifications, where appropriate.
