Showell Park
Showell Park is a £7.5million extra care development scheme on a former steelworks site in Wolverhampton.
The development consists of 64, one and two bedroom, mixed-tenure, extra care apartments, together with communal lounges and activity areas, a guest bedroom, assisted bathrooms, a laundry, buggy store and staff management offices. Some areas, including a bistro and internet café, are also shared by the local community.
Wates' proactive involvement in the design process helped save approximately £200,000, increase the specification and bring the project in three weeks early, under budget and with high levels of customer satisfaction.
