The demands of fashion: A meticulous refit at Selfridges

Client: Selfridges

Project: Internal re-fit of women’s designer fashions on third floor of department store

Duration: 13 weeks

Value: £1.2m

This high profile refit in one of the world’s most famous department stores had to be meticulously planned over seven phases, with areas prepared to a demanding schedule for concession shop fitters including Juicy Couture, Vivien Westwood, Marc Jacobs, Giorgio Armani and Whistles.

  • We also undertook three phases for Selfridges’ own brands, which involved building an imaginative and striking tree canopy through the entire department.
  • Throughout the project, our professional design and retail teams worked closely with concept designers and internal Selfridges stakeholders to great effect, with our people seconded in and now based out of their offices.
  • The project was well received and as a result we were asked to undertake further modernisation work to the fashion department on the second floor.
  • Strong client relationship with Selfridges and currently undertaking enabling works for the Gallery restaurant on the ground floor.
