Primark, Redditch
Project value: £4.5m
A challenging project which consisted of converting a three storey Retail Unit in a shopping centre into a brand new Primark.
Key aspects of the project were:
- Delivered on time and on budget with no safety issues
- Used expertise from earlier Primark projects to improve programme time and quality
- A complete shop fit of the 33,000 sqft area, which included a new style of changing rooms, the construction of new lifts as well as installing a bank of 13 tills.
- Very tight timescales – delivered on time in 16 weeks.
- Very high standard of finish
- Complex structural works involved the removal of the floor slabs to the 1st and 2nd floors to enable the construction of a goods lift and the formation of the atrium escalator well.
- Works to the ground floor consisted of an office suite and staff accommodation, locker rooms, canteen, etc.
