Above all, it's about people

Pipers Way (Marlborough Park) - Swindon

Pipers Way is a new build development consisting of 204 properties of which 36 are houses, 168 are apartments and14 flats are over garage apartments. The buildings will be timber framed with either facing brickwork or blockwork and over leaf cladding with render, metal or thermawood.  External glass and metal balconies are also provided. We are aiming to achieve code level 3 for Sustainable Homes, including Secure by Design and Lifetime Homes Standards.

The £23m development for Places for People is currently in week 59 with the first round of hand over’s scheduled for this week within area A. The timber frame elements of the works are currently 90% complete and scaffolding to area B is beginning to be removed. Both external and internal finishes are now moving at a pace.

The team took part in Wates Community Day 2010 at Ashbury Lodge, where they undertook a complex garden renovation. They installed new block paving, access footpaths, raised planting, a greenhouse, erected fencing and benches for the residents and also converted a dilapidated piece of land into a useful enclosed outdoor area.
