Wates Living Space is currently working on the Oceans Estate regeneration scheme in partnership with Tower Hamlets Council and East Thames Development Consortium.
The scheme, one of the UK’s largest regeneration projects includes a £38m refurbishment project and a £47m new build programme as part of the £200m Ocean Estate regeneration scheme.
The project was recently visited by Jonathan Martin, Head of Area at the Homes and Communities Agency, the HCA has allocated more than £41m to support the provision of new affordable homes as part of the Regeneration.
As part of our investment in the local area Wates Giving, a charitable programme run by the Wates family awarded the local police £3000 towards neighbourhood patrolling.
Phase One of the refurbishment works are now underway with new build demolition due to start shortly
The team recently held a fun day for local children living in the pilot flats and a BBQ for the local elderly group
