Northwards Housing, Decent Homes
Sharing best practice, a successful partnership and even the same office space, has resulted in a strong and lasting
relationship between ourselves and Northwards Housing, part of the IMPACT Manchester framework. So far we have developed over 1965 properties including internal improvements such as new bathrooms and kitchens, central heating installations, and rewires, and also external works including windows and doors, environmental works, and
structural improvements.
The work has been only part of the story with Northwards; our relationship runs deeper than home improvements. The
local community in North Manchester has seen us take part in Northwards events such as ‘It’s a Knockout’ and their ‘Food and Dance Festival’. We have improved facilities such as the Newton Heath Community Centre, Queensferry Communal Gardens, local school grounds, local parks including restoring the aged bandstand at Brookdale Park, and we have organised several charitable events raising money for Shelter, Francis House Children’s Hospice, Children’s Education Foundation and Cancer Research.
Our team at Northwards work and play together, from team building events to social events, and through this close
relationship we understand their needs and aspirations for the project, delivering a successful programme year on year consistently hitting 100% tenant satisfaction month after month. Because, above all, it’s about people.
