Above all, it's about people

North Whitley Estate PFI

This scheme was one of the first PFI housing schemes to be signed back in 2004 and involved us refurbishing and now looking after 1,300 homes on the North Whitley Estate.

  • We completed the refurbishment stage nine months ahead of schedule allowing our client to achieve its Decent Homes standard well ahead of government targets.
  • Recycled all elements of the 10,000 window units resulting in zero waste to landfill
  • This was achieved by working in partnership with other members of our PFI consortium, which included housing associations Windsor Housing and Southern Housing.
  • As well as completing the work well ahead of schedule we were involved in making sure the revamped estate was not allowed to lapse back into old ways before the Decent Homes work was carried out. We ensured resident liaison officers worked closely with the local community to stamp out anti-social behaviour while we have helped improve performance on rent arrears and void turnaround to ensure the refurbished estate stays up to scratch for the local residents who live there.
