Above all, it's about people

Marley Mead Rise, Dorking

In partnership with Linden Homes, Wates gained planning consent in 2011 on the site for 38 dwellings, including 14 affordable properties. The site was purchased in 2010 and provides an excellent opportunity to deliver quality family homes on the edge of this affluent area which is greatly in need of new housing. Planning Officers supported the application, although it was refused locally and successfully gained at Inquiry.

• Challenging environment following emerging planning guidelines

• A reserve housing site within Mole Valley’s adopted Local Plan

• Extensive consultation has been undertaken to ensure local residents comments have been taken on board through the design process

• The scheme is architecturally in keeping with the surrounding area

• Construction on the site will commence in 2011 and will be completed in 2013
