Marks & Spencer Simply Food, Canterbury

This project consisted of the fit-out of a developers shell on a retail park to form a new M&S Simply Food store.

Works included:

  • Alterations to existing drainage works within the premises
  • Installation of new shopfit, joinery, AC & AHU plant, building services, including electrical, mechanical & heat detection systems, flooring, wall partitioning, signage and decorations
  • Installation of ground level  mounted plant and associated AC condensers units to the rear area of the premises 
  • Installation of a canopy and scissor lift (with pit) to the rear of the premises
  • Installation of a new shopfront façade to the main entrance including a new main entrance lobby
  • Installation of five large till podia on the main sales floor
  • Installation of a 38 person seated self contained Café within the main sales floor area.
  • Installation of a standard signage concept with 1  large main entrance external sign

The project achieved a 100% Health and Safety record with no accidents or first aid recorded. The project was also recognised for accomplishing BM Trada FSC certification.
