Marks and Spencer, Colliers Wood
Located at Colliers Wood, South London this brand new, eco-friendly store is the first full range flagship launched since Bluewater Park 9 years ago. The store has 130,000 sq ft of sales floor and a 35,000 sq ft back of house.
- Handed over with zero defects
- Consisted of 12 phases over two floors, involving major shell works, the formation of a mezzanine floor and extensive roof alterations with a massive 500 tonnes of structural steel being erected.
- Installed 6 lifts and 4 new escalators
- 19 crane lifts were used to get boilers, air conditioning plant and generators in place to get the store operational
- At its busiest the team were managing 325 operatives from 46 different sub-contractors and trades
- Delivered on time and on budget, with a grad opening starring Erin O’Connor
- The project was situated on an archaeological burial site . There was a 12th Century Priory beneath where we were excavating and therefore precision planning and implementation was paramount.
