Lloyds Bank Cheltenham
Wates Retail completed the full front and back of house refurbishment of Lloyds Bank Cheltenham as part of the ongoing framework. This prominent Grade II listed building, a landmark of Cheltenham High Street, offered the team a tight five week programme.
Special features of this project included:
- Laying Amtico flooring, which is very hard wearing, after taking up the existing damaged floor
- Repainting the local managers office even thought it wasn’t part of the programme
- New interview rooms
- Making the branch more operationally friendly for customers and staff
- Moving internal self service equipment, e.g. ATMs, ensuring that security wasn’t compromised
Work was carried out overnight as the branch was open for business as usual during the day, meaning careful handovers were required every day between Wates and the customer. The short duration and tight programme meant communication was especially important to deal with any issues if and when the arose.
The project was completed on time and on budget, despite additions to the programme whilst on site.
‘This is one of the best branches I’ve seen, and I’ve seen a lot of branches.’
