King's Arms Yard, London
This logistically challenging project in central London required a dedicated Wates team to think outside of the box to ensure a seamless delivery, in such a tight site with limited storage space.
The project consisted of the construction of a new 5265sq m office building over 10 floors. Although the site had been demolished by the client several years earlier, the façade had been retained to one elevation at ground floor level, and our project consisted of reusing the stone reclaimed from the demolition works for the new building.
Our site team had to be extra vigilant during noisy and disruptive times as the site was next to a church. Our team liaised with the church regularly to ensure no disruptive work was carried out during important services.
Due to incoming tenants early on, our team forged a close relationship with the client to ensure delivery on time. We also assisted the client with additional works that were undertaken post completion.
