The Project
Wates Design were the appointed design consultant for the implementation design for John Lewis Liverpool. This was a £20m+ fit-out of a large retail unit.
The Delivery This is the largest project Wates Design have completed and therefore showcases our ability to deal with large complex projects with a significant volume of detailing. Limited standard details were available and timescales were extremely tight. As this was a flagship store, significant design changes were instructed throughout the design and construction period.
The customer was extremely satisfied with the store and praised Wates Design for our flexible and collaborative approach. Key to the successful delivery: -
• Communication with the contractor
• Detailed phasing of the drawing production
• Rapid response to customer change requests
• ‘Can do’ attitude
