Above all, it's about people

Hilton Bracknell

The works comprised a new extension consisting of 48 bedrooms and health club, the refurbishment of 40 existing bedrooms and a new car park. Minimal disruption to guests at one of the largest earning Hilton Hotels in the country was of high priority throughout the 32 week project, placing additional constraints upon the already demanding programme.

New car parking areas were completed prior to the main build as were function room facilities which replaced the now redundant swimming pool. The ground floor health club is housed below the 48 new bedrooms. The bedrooms are of modular design and were delivered complete to site by Yorkon Limited for craning onto a steel frame. Forming the extension’s first, second and third floors, each module consisted of two fitted out bedrooms and bathrooms and a section of corridor.

All 24 modules were delivered to site over two weekends with minimal finishing trades and services connections required to form completion. The leisure club comprised a luxurious pool with jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms. Health assessment and beauty rooms support the open plan well-equipped gymnasium.

The complete refurbishment of 40 existing bedrooms was phased throughout the project enabling the hotel maximum practical capacity at all times.
