Hammersons Union Square - Aberdeen
The project comprised of the fit out of ten retail units within the Union Square Retail development in Aberdeen.
The works included installation of M&E systems, sprinkler installations, glazed shop fronts, kitchen and toilet facilities plus flooring and standard joinery items. Also, whilst on site, Wates completed additional works on behalf of the developer to aid them in delivering the main project on site.
Part of the development utilised existing heritage buildings. Wates ensured that all works completed on this element of the project complied with the conservation requirements.
This project was challenging due to not only its location in the centre of Aberdeen, but also the large number of restrictions placed upon Wates by the main contractor on site, restricting access to areas required to reach the individual retail units.
The works were completed on time, including all additional work requested by Hammersons.
