A collaborative, solutions-led approach to running Cat A and Cat B fit outs concurrently reduced the overall project from 33 to 23 weeks and delivered significant benefits to both New Century as landlord and Holman Fenwick Willen as tenant:
- The landlords gained an earlier return on the let-able space
- The international lawyers were fully operational 10 weeks earlier than expected and were able to significantly reduce disruption to their business
- In-house technical services commissioning team saved time and reduced unnecessary waste by considering the required alterations under Cat A and Cat B together and planned works accordingly.
- Managing joint delivery of Cat A and Cat B by single carrier companies reduced lorry movements and hence our
- Environmental impact while delivering against both tenant’s and landlord’s environmental policies.
- Maintenance of a consistent supply chain for both projects enabled cost savings in the region of £200,000 by overlapping management costs and gaining product and service efficiencies.
- A dedicated Wates Interiors management team saved the customers £195,000 by reducing the pre-contract period and providing unique package build-ability solutions.
