Doncaster Civic Centre
This current Wates project is to provide new energy efficient BREEAM Excellent rated office space for Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council.
It marks the first phase of a £300M Civil and Cultural Quarter (CCQ) redevelopment of the Waterdale area of Doncaster Town centre. The building which will consist of 5 storeys will include the new Council Chambers as an integral feature of the building and will be architecturally expressed using terracotta cladding.
The construction programme is very tight as is the budget and a co-ordinated engagement with all elements of the supply chain will be required to successfully deliver the project to the very high quality standards the client expects.
Wates renowned CSR strength was integral to securing this project, and the team have committed to maximise opportunities for local businesses and employment.
Our team are fully engaged with the client, as well as the local community, and will send out regular newsletters and host open evenings maintaining strong communication throughout.
