Cuckfield, Sussex
A sensitive village setting in the heart of Sussex, this Greenfield site needed to be carefully designed to fit in with the surrounding area. Secured in 2001, it took five years to gain allocation for residential scheme, finally achieving detailed planning consent in 2006.
The key elements of this project are:
- A four acre Greenfield village site within a highly sensitive area
- Achieved a detailed planning consent for 63 new homes. 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses, along with 1 and 2 bedroom apartments
- Of high quality architecture and design was at the heart of the planning strategy.
- Locally sourced quality materials were used to ensure the scheme complemented the existing adjacent residential properties.
- Used as a model scheme of sensitive design by Mid Susses District Council
- Developed in partnership with Linden Homes and is now completed.
