Canterbury College, Kent
Working across a varied range of buildings, the team delivered ten buildings from classroom blocks to a television studio on time and on budget over the four year period. Making a significant impact on the educational environment, as recognised by our customer.
- Creating value for staff and students alike, Wates skillfully managed a highly complex decanting and phasing programme to minimise need for temporary teaching facilities, saving time and money for the College.
- Paying attention to the operational details of the College, the Wates team ensured that they maintained disabled access at all times and made available sufficient parking facilities.
- Working around college examination periods, we were able to deliver the programme, with no lost teaching days and no safety issues.
- Creating a business as usual experience for the management, staff and importantly the students.
- The Wates team developed and managed a crafted comprehensive safety and security system to ensure the integrity of the built environment. Restrictions to site access and traffic movements were made with minimal impact to the day to day operation of the College.
