Above all, it's about people

Bromley, Kent

A two and a half acre brownfield site, which Wates Developments owned freehold, and achieved a planning consent for a change of use from an undesirable industrial depot to 103 residential flats and houses (35% affordable).

The key elements of this project are:

  • Wates Developments achieved a difficult planning consent for change of use to residential in just 4 months.
  • Successfully reconciled complex issues around engineering and the scheme was swiftly completed within 12 months.
  • Very successful Joint Venture with Linden Homes, which resulted in an imaginative, first class development which sold out within 13 months.
  • A positive investment in an area in need of regeneration which helped fund and upgrade local leisure facilities.
