As well as investing in residential land and using our expertise to gain exceptional planning consents, a key business focus for Wates Developments is to invest in our own development projects.

We do this through 50:50 joint venture partnerships with some of the leading house builders in the country such as Linden Homes, Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes. This approach which combines our skills with the complementary expertise of our joint venture partners in the professional building and selling of new homes.

Individual developments are controlled by joint boards in a true 50:50 partnership. Honed over the last six years, this innovative model currently covers eight sites under construction in the south east of England which will deliver around 1,500 new homes, with a range additional sites progressing through the land and planning process day by day.
