Project Surveyor
Purpose:
- Accountable for all pre and post contract aspects of surveying and commercial site functions.
Position Typically Reports To:
Surveying Manager
Key Accountabilities and Deliverables:
- Commercial control of subcontract packages.
- Maximisation of value recovery, cost control and cash management.
- Protect Wates contractual position.
- Preparation of financial reports.
- Production of Final Accounts.
- Subcontract and materials orders.
- Developing commerciality of the site team.
Key Tasks:
- Knowledge & understanding of our obligations under the Contract.
- Au fait with & understanding of Tender build up.
- Agree Commercial Strategy with Commercial Manager / Construction Manager / Project Manager & implement accordingly.
- Forecast Value & maximise Value Recovery.
- Identify & Implement Cash Strategy.
- Administer Contract Records.
- Interact with Buyer/Project Manager to maximise Commercial Recovery.
- Undertake procurement, when no buyer present.
- Manage Subcontract Order Documentation & Accounts.
- Liaise & Direct Site Clerk.
- Produce CVR monthly.
- Adhere to Management Plan Procedures.
- Promote SHE Policy.
- Measurement and valuation.
- Production of Loss and Expense claims with Surveying Manager.
- Production of Final Accounts.
- Ensure that the supply chain is paid in accordance with the contract.
- Knowledge and understanding of subcontracts e.g. SC/10, DOM1, DOM2 and SC/2 GEN.
- Maximise value recovery.
- Form Relationship with PQS/Client/Consultants/Supply Chain.
- Develop Commercial Site Team.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Actively Market Wates.
- Prepare submissions for dispute resolution with Surveying Manager.
- Implement SHE policy.
