Paul Drechsler - Chairman
Paul joined the Wates Group Board in September 2004 as Chief Executive. He was previously an executive director of ICI PLC, chairman of ICI Pension Trustees Ltd., and a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. He is a non-executive director of Filtrona plc and a member of the Trinity College Dublin Business school Advisory Board.

Huw Davies - Financial Director
Huw was appointed Chief Financial Officer and to the Wates Group Board in February 2005. Huw was previously Head of Corporate Finance at Taylor Woodrow. He has also held key positions with KPMG, Ernst and Young, and the Government of Oman.

James Wates - Deputy Chairman
James joined Wates Construction Limited in 1983. Appointed MD of Wates Integra in 1991. Joined Wates Construction Limited Board as Marketing Director in 1994. Appointed to Wates Group Board in 1997. Audit committee member. Trustee of Wates Foundation. CITB Board member and sits on the Audit and Remuneration Committees. Member of CBI London Regional Council. Honorary Treasurer of the BCO. Deputy Chairman of the Construction Confederation. Governor of Emanuel School, Trustee of Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation and member of The Prince’s Trust London Regional Council.

Tim Wates - Non-Executive Director
Tim commenced his career at Cazenove and Co in the City of London. He joined Wates Developments in 1990 and in 1996 was appointed Finance Director of Elmore Plant Services.  Subsequent to the sale of this business in 1999 he became MD of Wates Estate Agencies, followed by appointment as MD of Wates Developments in 2004. In 2006 he was appointed Chairman of Wates Developments and to the Wates Group Board. Tim has an MBA from the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.

Eugenie Turton - Non-Executive Director
Eugenie joined the Wates Group as a non-executive in November 2004, after a distinguished career in Government culminating as Director General at the ODPM responsible for housing, homelessness, Planning and the Planning Inspectorate. She was also ODPM Board Champion for Diversity. She is also a non-executive director of Rockpools, JobsGoPublic and Iris Consulting, a Trustee of the Horniman Museum, the Dulwich Picture Gallery and the Pilgrim Trust, and a board member of the Historic Houses Association.

Nicholas MacAndrew - Non-Executive Director
Appointed non-executive director of Wates Group in November 2003. Previously chief financial officer of Schroders plc. He is chairman of Save the Children, a director of the brewer, Fuller Smith and Turner, and a director of the insurance broker, Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc. Chairman of the Wates Group Audit Committee.

Fritz Ternofsky - Non-Executive Director
Mr Ternofsky’s background is in hotels and catering, including design, construction, operations and marketing.
His experience has been built up over 40 years and he held the position of Chief Executive of Compass Group’s UK and Scandinavian operations. He is currently senior non-executive director of Punch Taverns plc and Care UK plc, as well as Chair of Close Income and Growth VCT plc.
