Wates scoop Work Inspiration Award

The Wates NHC team recently received a Highly Commended Work Inspiration Award at the East of England BiTC Awards. The team received the award for the extra value brought to the Luton BSF project with their work experience programme.
The aim of the Regional Work Inspiration Award was to inspire examples of innovation and action by organisations that are turning work experience into work inspiration by providing placements for young people.
BiTC commented in the awards programme: "Wates Construction’s work inspiration programme is particularly successful as the entire organisation is engaged, and it is supported from the top down. In addition, they include and continuously liaise with their supply chain and external organisations."
Business in the Community’s Awards for Excellence are the UK’s leading award scheme for corporate responsibility. They recognise businesses that are integrating responsible business practice into their mainstream operations and delivering positive impacts on the environment and in the workplace, marketplace and community.
