
Wates Living Space sights set on transforming Pendleton, Salford

Wates Living Space, as part of the Inspiral Consortium along with Great Places and Regenter are now being considered by Salford City Council to deliver a large scale Private Finance Initiative in Pendleton, Salford.
The Pendleton PFI programme will involve refurbishing over 1,250 local authority homes and developing 1,605 new ones to transform the choice of housing in the area.
New homes will include houses and flats to buy through shared ownership as well as to rent. Plans will be driven by the communities expectations and aspirations, with Salford Council leading consultation to find out what residents want and need.
Wates Living Space has a strong track record in delivering successful housing projects in the local area, having recently completed the family eco-homes in Fitzwarren Street and Lilac Court for Great Places. Both these developments achieved Building for Life Silver standard and homes offered for shared ownership were so popular that they were all reserved within a couple of weeks of the sales launch.

The Inspiral Consortium, which was recently chosen to carry out a £135m PFI regeneration scheme in Oldham, is down to the final two bidders.
