
Wates announces new Business Unit Director for Scotland

The award winning Wates Group has appointed Ronnie Bennett as their new Business Unit Director for Scotland.
Ronnie will lead the Scottish business from both the Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.
Ronnie has more than 25 years experience in the Scottish construction industry, having worked for a range of organisations during his career. He has previously held roles as Director for Laing O’Rourke Scotland and Regional Commercial Director for Amec Construction.
The Business Unit Director role is a new position within Wates and reflects the growth of the Scottish business and successful expansion into the construction market.

Key projects currently on site for Wates include a £50M framework with Glasgow Housing Association to modernise multi storey flats throughout the city. Wates is also working on two new build projects as part of North Lanarkshire Council’s new build council housing framework.
Wates is also refurbishing housing stock throughout the country for clients including Link Group and Renfrewshire Council to deliver the Scottish Housing Quality Standard.
In addition to these affordable housing projects, Wates are also expanding their general construction business and have two projects on site.
