Zero carbon future

We are experts in zero carbon retrofitting for social housing, guiding our customers every step of the way. Through our net zero carbon retrofit service, Wates Retrofit, we’re working with housing providers to install energy saving measures to homes. This service helps to cut fuel poverty and reduce energy costs. 

We have completed retrofit enhancements at over 3,000 homes so far, supporting residents through these essential works, and driving sizable reductions in their fuel bills.

You will be working out of our Finsbury Park office on one of our social housing contracts, delivering reactive maintenance to our residents.Key Accountabilities will include: Undertaking repair/renewal works Advising Supervisor in a timely manner where other trades are required Working solely on certain tasks Working in partnership with other operatives to complete certain tasks Completing daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken Working in a timely and productive manner to complete programme tasksYou must have a full UK driving licence.To be successful in the role you will be an excellent communicator with the ability to problem solve, multi task, work to tight deadlines, have high standard of workmanship, productivity levels and ability to provide excellent customer service at all times is essential.

Repairs Planner

We have an opportunity for a Repairs Planner to join our Wates team within our Responsive Maintenance division. You will be working out of our Walton-On-Thames office on one of our social housing contracts, delivering planning for our reactive maintenance appointments.Key Accountabilities will include: Schedule works into diaries for up to 20 operatives daily ensuring diaries are full and immediate attention is given to allocate work to operatives when they become free. Check the system for emergencies and manage within a timely manner to ensure targets are meet Respond to telephone variations by seeking approval from duty surveyor so operatives may continue on the site through to completion Provide a high quality service to our client on a face to face basis Working within a team to achieve goals and targets achieving daily targets of a minimum of 60 allocations each day of new ordersWe are looking for you to have relevant experience gained from working in a similar industry and environment.

Roofer

Wates have an opportunity for a Roofer to join our Wates team within our Responsive Maintenance division. You will be working out of our Walton-On -Thames office on one of our social housing contracts, delivering reactive maintenance to our residents.Key Accountabilities will include: Undertake repair/renewal roofing works. Communicate effectively with the scheduler, residents, and line manager. Work safely and in compliance with Health & Safety and safeguarding requirements Remain up to date with technical and legal requirements of skill area. Work in partnership with other operatives to complete repairs when required. Complete work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken, via a PDA. We are looking for you to have a passion for roofing and be willing to learn. To be successful in the role you will be an effective communicator with the ability to problem solve and multitask.  A driving license in essential.

Supervisor

We have an opportunity for a Supervisor to join our Wates team within our Responsive Maintenance division. You will be working out of our Finsbury Park office on one of our social housing contracts, It is preferred that you have planned work experience and have worked on site set ups. The successful applicant will need to manage small to large projects with contractor's from quoting works and coding jobs.Key Accountabilities will include: Ensure high quality service is provided with the management of the work scheduling in accordance with company procedures, standards and SLAs Represent Wates at client and resident performance meetings as requested by the Operations Manager Manage the responsive repairs function to ensure consistent performance against targets Effective and efficient management of material costs and ensure that all are following correct processes and procedures Monitor quality of work through inspection, inspection reports, analysis of key performance indicators and analysis of customer satisfaction surveys. Lead, manage and contribute to the development of your team and determine optimum employment levels to comply with the provision of the serviceTo be successful in the role you must also be an excellent communicator with the ability to problem solve, multi task and work to tight deadlines. Prior responsive maintenance experience is crucial to the role. You must also have your SSSTS qualification as a minimum.
