Integrated into business practice
CR is governed at a Group Level as an integrated approach to all business matters.

Our CR performance is rated by the Business in the Community CR external index. The index helps us assess how well we are integrating corporate responsibility into our core business processes. In 2008 our score increased from 83% to 92.5% achieving a Gold Ranking.

Our performance metrics are also assured by independent organisations.

CR is integrated into our people policies and practices.

Wates Group has a code of conduct which is communicated to all employees.

We also have a whistle blowing policy.

Measurable
We have internal processes and audits managed by our Internal Audit Team to affirm that our policies are durable and that we have the right systems and processes to deliver our business responsibly.

The internal audit team assures our performance management processes to ensure the data we publish in our corporate responsibility report is verifable.
